and several months later....

So I love cooking and baking and do it often, what I don't do often is blog about it.

As it turns out, no one should bake a batch of cookies every week... I'm sure it isn't hard to figure out why.

So, somewhere along the way, I stopped doing a batch of cookies every week, and instead went to a new recipe every week.

Here are a few of the favorites:

Coq Au Vin

French Dip Sandwiches

Soft Caramel Corn

Apricot Chicken

My main fascination has been with Greek and French food lately... however, it's easier to do French dishes than Greek (at least for me).

In branching out cooking, we have done the same with dining. So, if you would prefer to have someone else do the cooking, I would reccomend:

Little Thai House in Longview, TX- excellent Thai food in a small, cozy setting (not at all fancy). My husband loves it.

Currents  in Tyler, TX - AMAZING French food... a little spendy for dinner, but totally worth it- Try the Duck or the Stuffed Meatloaf.

Yeero! Yeero!  in Shreveport, LA - Greek food... Loved the lemon chicken soup! Great little place that looks like a shack on the outside and a fancy restaurant on the inside. Plan to spend about $10-20 per person depending on if you do appetizers and desert (we did!)  We went at dinner and the prices were higher than I expected based on urbanspoon's review (but worth it).
